General description

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A) is a crucial signaling protein that promotes the growth of blood vessels (angiogenesis) in various physiological and pathological processes. It is primarily produced by endothelial cells and is involved in wound healing, embryonic development, and the response to ischemia. Elevated levels of VEGF-A are often associated with tumor growth and metastasis, making it a key target for therapeutic interventions in cancer and other diseases characterized by abnormal blood vessel formation.

*Indicative LLOQ created from average of 14 independent in house runs, where >80% met same value defined with CV & Recovery +/- 20%. Refer to CoA for lot specific performance.

Other Notes

Although VEGF-A was detectable in non-human primate, canine and feline samples, the assay has not been verified for these species.
