General description
Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC1) is the first enzyme in polyamine synthesis and is mandatory for normal growth and is increased in many types of cancers. ODC1 has been shown to suppress the fmc1 deletion in yeast and restores healthy respiratory growth. ODC1 may play a role in promoting DNA synthesis in hepatocytes.
~51 kDa observed. A band at ~100 kDa may be observed in some lysates and may be the homodimer of this protein.
Immunogen
Full length of recombinant protein corresponding to human ODC1.

Polyamines are critical metabolites involved in various cellular processes and often dysregulated in cancers. Kaposi's sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV), a defined human oncogenic virus, leads to profound alterations of host metabolic landscape to favor development of KSHV-associated malignancies. Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) has been treated clinically as a homogeneous disease, but recent discoveries suggest that SCLC is heterogeneous. Whether metabolic differences exist among SCLC subtypes is largely unexplored. In this study, we aimed to determine whether metabolic vulnerabilities
