General description

Dimethylamine, a secondary amine, is used as a raw material for the production of many agrichemicals and pharmaceuticals. The solvents dimethylformamide (DMF) and dimethylacetamide (DMA) are derived from dimethylamine. It is also used as a precursor for the preparation of amido derivatives.

Application

Dimethylamine can be used as a precursor for the preparation of a number of chemical building blocks such as dimethyl(3-chloropropyl)amine , 2-chloro-N,N-dimethylethanimidamide , and 4, 6-dichloro-2-(dimethylamino)-1,3,5-triazine .

Packaging

The 25 mL Sure/Seal bottle is recommended as a single-use bottle. Repeated punctures will likely result in decreased performance of product.
