General description
Sodium persulfate (Sodium peroxodisulfate) is an inorganic sodium salt. It is a cheap, eco-friendly oxidizing reagent. It is widely employed in bleaches and hair-coloring formulations.
Application
Sodium persulfate (Sodium peroxodisulfate) may be employed as an oxidizing reagent for the palladium-catalyzed C-H bond functionalization reaction of O-phenylcarbamates with arenes. It may be used to compose the initiator solution required for the preparation of hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) gel disks.
