18:0 Lyso PS has been used to stimulate the increase in intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in G protein-coupled receptor 174 (GPR174)-cells. It may also be used in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) based structural characterization of oxygenated/hydrolyzed molecular species of phosphatidylserine (PS).
