General description

Sodium perchlorate monohydrate (NaClO4· H2O) is a hydrated sodium salt. Its crystal structure has been investigated by three-dimensional single crystal x-ray diffraction studies. Its crystals belong to the monoclinic crystal system having space group C2/c.

Application

Sodium perchlorate monohydrate (NaClO4· H2O) may be used in the preparation of 0.01M NaClO4 solution. This solution was employed in oxalate adsorption isotherm experiments.
Sodium perchlorate monohydrate has been used as a component of ion exchange (IE) buffer A and B for the purification of RNA using IE-high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
