General description

2-ヒドロキシエチルジスルフィド（HEDS）は、ジアルキルジスルフィドのクラスに属する有機硫黄化合物で​2つのヒドロキシエチル基の間にジスルフィド結合（-SS-）があります。材料科学では、HEDSは、防食、潤滑、センサーなどの用途で、金表面に自己組織化単層（SAM）を形成するための前駆体として使用されます。また、2-ヒドロキシエチルジスルフィドは、有機合成における還元剤やゴム配合物の製造における架橋剤としても使用されます。
