LUDOX®TM-50コロイダルシリカは、以下の用途に使用することができます：
- テトラプロピルアンモニウム（TPA）-シリケート-1コロイダル粒子を合成するためのシリカ源。
- 炭素前駆体としてレゾルシノール-ホルムアルデヒド樹脂を使用することによりメソポーラス炭素材料を調製する除去可能なテンプレート。
- 濃縮乳化重合により非球形の柔軟性のあるポリ（ブチルアクリレート）（PBA）ポリマー粒子を合成する分離層。
