General description
トリエトキシ(オクチル)シラン（TEOS）は、4本のエチルエステル側鎖を有するアルコキシドオルガノシランです。TEOSは、自己組織化単分子膜として使用され、表面エネルギーの低い疎水性コーティングを形成します。水接触角は150～170°です。
Application
アルミニウム合金をTEOSおよび1H、1H、2H、2Hパーフルオロオクチルトリクロロシラン（PFOTS）でコーティングすることで、船体および海洋システム用に接触角が160～170°と高い超疎水性を得られます。比色分析センサーが色の変化を即時に検知できるように多孔度を安定化させるために使用できます。このようなセンサーは有毒ガスの検知に使用できると考えられます。また、ハイブリッドゼオライトの生産に使用できます。
