cis-2-ヘキセンは、ヘキセンの異性体の1つです。n-オクタン中の二酸化チタン上のPd78(phen) [phen = 1,10-フェナントロリン]の存在下での半水素化により、2-ヘキシンから得られます。cis-2-ヘキセンは、酸化ニッケル-シリカ-アルミナ触媒の存在下でのプロピレンの二量化からの主要生成物の1つとして形成されます。コバルト触媒の存在下でフェニルシランとの異性化／ヒドロシリル化反応を受けて、1-ヘキシルフェニルシランが得られます。
