3,3′,5,5′-テトラメチルベンジジンはパーオキシダーゼに感受性の染料です。生成物の安定性およびカルシウムイオンやマグネシウムイオンの妨害を受けないため、シリングアルダジンの代替として水中塩素の測定に好適です。
Application
3,3′,5,5′テトラメチルベンジジン（TMB）は、ベンジジンの非発癌性代替物（Ames試験陰性）です。ELISAで使用するペルオキシダーゼ基質として適しています。淡い青色の可溶性最終生成物を生成し、370または620～650 nmで分光光度計を用いて読み取ることができます。TMB反応は2 M H2SO4を用いて停止することができ（結果は黄色になります）、450 nmで読み取ります。血液を検出する ヘモグロビンアッセイ、ペルオキシダーゼアッセイ用の高感度で特異的な試薬です。
