General description

ストレスホルモンとしても知られるコルチゾールまたはヒドロコルチゾンは、糖質コルチコイド（ステロイド）です。副腎から放出され、日周リズムの維持に関与しています。このホルモンは、先天性副腎過形成(CAH)の新生児スクリーニングを目的とした場合にはLC-MS/MS(液体クロマトグラフィー質量分析法)により全血中濃度が測定され、クッシング症候群、アジソン病、およびシーハン症候群を含む、いくつかの疾患の判定を目的とした場合にはLC-MS/MSにより血清または血漿中濃度が測定されます。
