Synthetic penicillin derivative used for gene technology when carbenicillin-resistant plasmids are studied. Typically used at 30-50 µg/ml for selection of carbenicillin-resistant Escherichia coli.

Preparation Note
Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C) for long term storage or refrigerate (4°C) for short-term storage. Aqueous stock solutions are stable for 72 h at 4°C or for 4 months at -20°C.
