General description

Useful for studies involving adenylate cyclase, AMP, and related membrane-transport phenomena. Consists of a single A subunit surrounded by five polypeptide chains of the B subunits. The A subunit catalyzes the ADP-ribosylation of the α-subunit of G-proteins, reducing intrinsic GTPase activity and activating the α-subunit. The B subunits are responsible for the attachment of the native toxin on the cell surface..
Useful for tissue culture applications.
