General description
インテグリンベータ1（別名CD29）は、130 kDaの膜貫通型糖タンパク質であり、さまざまなインテグリンアルファサブユニット（アルファ1、アルファ2、アルファ3、アルファ4、アルファ5、アルファ6など）と非共有結合複合体を形成し、特定の細胞外マトリックスタンパク質に結合する機能的受容体となります。インテグリン受容体は、胚発生、創傷修復、止血、プログラム細胞死の予防など、さまざまな重要な生物学的機能の調節に関与しています。また、腫瘍に向けた血管新生、腫瘍細胞の増殖、転移などの異常な病的状態にも関与しています。これらのヘテロ二量体受容体は、細胞質アクチン細胞骨格と、細胞外マトリックスおよび／または隣接細胞に存在するタンパク質を架橋します。インテグリンと細胞外マトリックスとの相互作用により、シグナル伝達経路の活性化と遺伝子発現の調節が行われます。
