General description

Gpr177（WLS、EVI）は、Drosophila WIsのマウスオルソログであり、マウス胚発生時に発現されます。哺乳類の発生過程における前後軸のパターン形成に不可欠であり、â-カテニンおよびLEF/TCF依存性転写によって活性化されます。GPR177が活性化されると、WntがGPR177に結合してGPR177の細胞内分布を変更することで、Wntの発現とシグナル伝達を含むフィードバック制御機構が生じます。
