ROCK阻害薬（Y-27632）は、p160Rock（Ki=140 nM）およびRock-IIなどのRho関連プロテインキナーゼ（ROCK）の選択的な、ATP競合的阻害薬です。また、アゴニストによるミオシンリン酸化のCa2+感作と平滑筋の収縮に対する強力な阻害薬としても作用します。10uM Y-27632による1時間の処理は、解離した培養ヒト胚性幹細胞（hESC）のアポトーシスを阻害し、その多能性に影響を及ぼすことなくhESCの生存とクローニング効率を高めます1。最近では、Y-27632や消化酵素の調製混合物であるAccutase（カタログ番号：SCR005）が、従来の緩慢凍結および急速融解法を用いて単一hESCの融解後の生存率を高めることが報告されています。
