General description

1-ペンタノールはモノヒドロキシアルコールです。無色の液体で独特の匂いがします。ガソリンやディーゼル燃料に代わるものとして期待される特性があるため、燃焼特性の研究が行われています。バッチ式反応器において、423 K、液相で、イオン交換樹脂を触媒として、1-ペンタノールはジ-n-ペンチルエーテル（DNPE）に変換されます。

Application

1-ペンタノールは、硝酸アンモニウムセリウム（CAN）を用いた酸化による2-メチルテトラヒドロフランの合成に使用されました。
