General description

コバック試薬は、p-ジメチルアミノベンズアルデヒド、イソアミルアルコール、および濃塩酸を混合して調製します。 生物の同定では、トリプトファン基質からのインドール形成が有用な診断ツールです。インドール産生は、大腸菌の同定において重要な検査です。インキュベーション後、この試薬を添加することでインドールが産生されたかを判断する役に立ちます。この試薬はインドールと反応すると赤色を呈します。
