Application

ミューラー・ヒントン寒天培地はもともと病原性ナイセリア属菌種を単離するためにデザインされた固体培地ですが、今では、臨床試料から単離された好気性および通性嫌気性細菌の抗生物質に対する感受性検査（スルホンアミドを含む）に幅広く使用されています。

General description

ミューラー・ヒントン寒天培地は、ディスク拡散法（Kirby Bauer法）を用いた抗菌薬感受性検査用に特別に設計されています。以下の理由から、抗生物質感受性試験の理想的な培地としてCLSIより推奨されています：

  • バッチ間での再現性が良好です
  • トリメトプリム、スルホンアミド、テトラサイクリンなどの特定の阻害剤が不十分です
  • 偏好性／非偏好性を問わず細菌性病原体の増殖をサポートします
  • 培地中のデンプンが毒素を吸収することで、抗生物質への干渉を妨ぎます
  • 軟寒天のため、抗生物質をよく拡散します
ミューラー・ヒントン寒天培地は、以下の用途に使用されています：
  • ディスク拡散試験のためのEscherichia coli ATCC™ 25922株の培養
  • Staphylococcus aureus、Bacillus cereus、Pseudomonas aeruginosa、Escherichia coliに対するフシジン酸のディスク拡散アッセイ
  • Staphylococcus aureus、Pseudomonas aeruginosa、Escherichia coliに対する薬物封入ナノハイドロキシアパタイト製剤の寒天拡散アッセイ

Other Notes

ニーズによって、2種類の培地タイプを提供しています：よく顆粒化したGranuCult®培地と、費用効果の高い粉末化したNutriSelect®培地です。
