General description

Brilliant Blue G is a methanol based stain which is especially designed for staining protein in polyacrylamide gels, but will also stain protein in agarose gels (IEF). The stain contains methanol and acetic acid so gels do not require fixing prior to staining. Water is added directly to the bottle to produce 1 liter of ready-to-use staining solution.

Application

このメタノ-ルベ-スの色素はポリアクリルアミドゲル中のタンパク質の染色用に特別に調製されていますが、アガロ-スゲル中のタンパク質の染色にも使用できます。メタノ-ルと酢酸を含んでいますので、染色前にゲルを固定する必要はありません。ボトルに水を加えて1 Lにするだけで、染色溶液として使用することができます。

Preparation Note

ボトル1本から1 Lの実験用溶液を調製することができます。
脱イオン水で1 Lまで希釈した溶液には、0.1%(w/v)ブリリアントブル-G、25%(v/v)メタノ-ル、5%(v/v)酢酸が含まれることになります。

Analysis Note

ドデシル硫酸ナトリウム・ポリアクリルアミドゲル電気泳動(SDS-PAGE)による安定性試験済み。
