General description

カフェインは広く摂取されている薬理活性物質です。これは、メチルキサンチンのクラスに属します。また、天然に存在するアルカロイドで、コーヒー、ココアおよび他の植物にみられます。カフェインは、骨粗鬆症、心血管系リスク、不整脈および胃腸障害と関連する場合があります。カフェインは、起立性低血圧、気管支肺異形成症および未熟児無呼吸（AOP）の治療に使用されます。

Biochem/physiol Actions

Caffeine is a natural stimulant that is most commonly found in coffee, tea and various other drinks. It is known for its effect on the central nervous system. It is also associated with insomnia, increased heart rate, digestive issues, creating anxiety and jitteriness. Caffeine is also associated with withdrawal symptoms like headaches, fatigue, irritability.
