一級アミンおよびアミノ酸のプレカラム誘導体化用の試薬です。得られる蛍光誘導体は逆相HPLCで検出できます。反応にはOPAのほか、一級アミンとスルフヒドリル基が必要です。スルフヒドリル基が過剰に存在する場合は、アミンの定量が可能です。アミンが過剰に存在する場合は、スルフヒドリル基の定量が可能です。

スルフヒドリル基の供給源として2-メルカプトエタノールを含む、1 mLの溶液中に1 mgのo-フタルジアルデヒド(P0657)を含有します。
