Biochem/physiol Actions

ブデソニドは全身吸収性の低い第2世代のグルココルチコイドです。喘息、鼻炎や炎症性腸疾患の治療において抗炎症薬として使用されています。初代培養のヒト気管支上皮細胞で、ケモカインのmRNAの発現とエオタキシンおよびRANTESの産生を阻害します。ブデソニドは、肺癌の予防薬として現在治験中です。マウスでベンゾピレン誘導性の肺癌の発生に対する抑制効果がみとめられています。
全身吸収性が低い第2世代のグルココルチコイドは抗炎症剤であり、ケモカインmRNAの発現とエオタキシンおよびRANTESタンパク質の産生を阻害します。

Application

Budesonide may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using high-performance liquid chromatography technique.
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.

General description

Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
Budesonide is a nonsystemic glucocorticoid and an epimeric mixture, where both the epimers have similar anti-inflammatory activity. It is widely used in the treatment of Crohn′s disease.
