General description

Triton™ X-100は、生化学の分野で蛋白の溶解性を高めるための非イオン系表面活性剤、乳化剤として一般的に使用されています。比較的温和な、かつ検体を変性させない洗浄剤と考えられており、数多くの参考文献においても日常的に使用できる添加薬剤とされています。細胞を溶解して蛋白と細胞オルガネラを抽出する目的で使用されています。遺伝子導入のために生細胞膜の透過性を高める目的にも使用できます。

Application

免疫染色を行う前に網膜の透過性を向上させるため、TBS中に溶解（0·3%）したTriton™ X-100が使用されています。 星状細胞の溶解には0.5%濃度のTriton X-100が使用されています。

Biochem/physiol Actions

穏やかな非変性条件下での膜成分の回収に広く用いられている非イオン性界面活性剤です。
