苛性ソーダとしても知られる水酸化ナトリウムは、広範な産業用途の水溶性塩基です。NaOHで珪藻土を精製すると、塩基性色素を吸着する能力が増強します。NaOHは、熱脱着と組み合わせると、PCB汚染土壌中のポリ塩化ビフェニル（PCB）の分解が改善されることが報告されています。クエン酸ナトリウム（Na3Ci）と水酸化ナトリウム（NaOH）水溶液のSO2溶解効率が調べられています。

Application

4-ニトロ-o-キシレンの光臭素化時に放出される臭化水素ガスを捕捉するために、水酸化ナトリウム（NaOH）が使用されています。
