Biochem/physiol Actions
Pgpの機能性レポ-タ-としてフロ-サイトメトリ-において最も一般的に使用される蛍光色素です。癌の治療においては、MDRタンパク質の機能分析がMDRタンパク質発現量よりも良い予後の指標です。Rh 123 は、PE-Cy5 および AMCA (7-アミノ-4-メチルクマリン-3-酢酸)等の一般的なタンパク質標識色素と組み合わせても蛍光干渉がなく、多パラメ-タ-解析に使用可能です。最近の報告で、Rh 123 はMRP1の基質であることも示されてます。
ローダミン123は通常、フローサイトメトリーにおいてP-糖タンパク質（P-gp）の機能レポーターとして使用されます。
