Application
アロエエモジンは、Aloe arborescens Miller var. natalensis Berger（キダチアロエ）のフェノール化合物を分離および同定するための高速液体クロマトグラフィー（HPLC）における標準品として使用されています。
Biochem/physiol Actions
アロエエモジンは、抗菌性、抗ウイルス性、抗炎症性、および肝保護的な効果を示します。
緩下剤/瀉下薬; 内生のアセチルコリンを放出し、腸の平滑筋の収縮を増加させます。抗腫瘍活性は、ミトコンドリアの膜電位を減少させ、最終的には細胞のアポト-シスにつながる一連の事象を作動させる膜透過性転移を引き起こす、活性酸素種(ROS)産生の増加に結びつきます。生殖毒性と変異誘発性はアロエエモジンによるトポイソメラ-ゼ II活性の抑制のためであるようです。
