Biochem/physiol Actions

L-アルギニンは、一酸化窒素の産生において重要な役割を果たす、条件付き必須アミノ酸です。これは、ポリアミン、アグマチンおよび尿素の合成のための前駆体として働きます。通常、L-アルギニンは小児では必須アミノ酸で、成人では非必須アミノ酸です。

一酸化窒素シンターゼの基質で、シトルリンと一酸化窒素(NO)に転換されます。一酸化窒素依存的な機序によってインスリンの放出を誘導します。
