General description

I型コラーゲンは腱および骨の主要コラーゲンですが、皮膚、角膜、歯の象牙質、心臓弁、肺、筋膜、瘢痕組織など、他の組織にも分布しています。

Application

ウシ皮膚由来のI型コラーゲン-FITC標識体は、I型コラーゲンゲル化分析に使用されています。また、さまざまな実験的研究で、細胞を播種するためにシリコーン弾性膜のコーティングに使用されています。細胞培養物中の哺乳類コラゲナーゼ活性を分析する目的で、基質としても使用できます。

I型コラーゲンは、腱、靱帯から皮膚、角膜、骨、象牙質に至る広範囲の組織に機械的な安定性、強度、および強靭性を与えます。
