Preparation Note

分子量 (MW) が最も大きなデキストランを除き、D5501 (分子量範囲 = 500万~4000万) は、非常に水溶性の高いデキストランです。 シグマは、おおむね水中で30 mg/mlを超える濃度におけるデキストランの溶解度を試験しています。 また、デキストランは、DMSO、ホルムアミド、エチレングリコール、およびグリセロールにもよく溶けます。 中性の水性デキストラン溶液は、110～115oC、30～45分間のオートクレーブ処理で滅菌することが可能です。デキストランは、高温で強酸によって加水分解されます。デキストラン末端の還元性末端基は、アルカリ性溶液によって酸化されることがあります。
