General description
カルボキシルエステルヒドロラーゼとしても知られるエステラーゼは、酵素のヒドロラーゼスーパーファミリーのメンバーです。
Application
ブタ肝臓から得られたエステラーゼは、紫外可視分光法において蛍光の所在を明らかにするために使用されています。
シグマの酵素を使用して、水性媒体中のビーズ結合触媒活性をスクリーニングするためのゲルベースの代替プロトコールを開発しました。この製品は、化合物L-バリン-3-{8-[(E)-2-[3-メトキシフェニル)エテニル]-7-メチル-1-プロパルギルキサンチン-3-イル}プロピルエステル塩酸塩（アデノシンA2A受容体アンタゴニストMSX-2のアミノ酸エステルプロドラッグであるMSX-4）の特性を調べるためにも使用されています。
ブタ肝臓エステラーゼは、製薬および産業用途で使用するためのペンタアセチルカテキンおよびエピカテキンの加水分解を触媒するために使用されます。

Biochem/physiol Actions
細菌および真菌のエステラーゼ酵素には、いくつかの産業用途があると思われます。エステル結合の加水分解と合成を触媒することができます。
エステラーゼは、短鎖脂肪酸を含む水溶性カルボキシルエステルに作用します。その機能性はSer、His、Asp/Gluの触媒3成分に起因します。
ブタ肝臓エステラーゼは、エステルからカルボン酸へのエナンチオ選択的変換を触媒します。分子量は168 kDaであることが分かりました。各分子に2つの活性部位を持つセリン酵素であり、希酸または濃縮塩存在下で活性半分子に解離します。
