Biochem/physiol Actions
抗体は、正常および腫瘍性の血液やリンパ管に由来する、ヒト内皮細胞の細胞質と特異的に反応します。ヒト心内膜、血小板や巨核球とも反応します。凍結組織標本をはじめ、酵素前処理してホルマリン、メタカ-ン、Bouin′s液、エタノ-ルにより固定したパラフィン包埋組織切片中の血管構造の免疫組織化学的研究に用いられます。
損傷した血管壁への血小板の付着を仲介し、凝集因子VIIIのキャリアおよび安定化剤としての役割を担います。

General description
ヒトvon Willebrand因子（因子VIII R:Ag）は分子量270 kDaの多量体血漿糖蛋白です。von Willebrand因子は、血小板糖蛋白 lb、糖蛋白 IIb/IIIa、コラーゲンおよびヘパリンに対応する機能性結合ドメインを持っています。この因子は内皮細胞によって合成されますが、血小板と巨核球にも存在します。
抗von Willebrand因子は、精製von Willebrand因子を免疫原としてウサギで産生されます。
