General description

グルコースは、脳や、ミトコンドリアをほとんど含まない、または含まない細胞のエネルギー源です。また、嫌気性解糖の基質でもあります。ヒトの体は、グリコーゲンの形でグルコースを貯蔵します。低グルコースの条件下、肝臓や腎臓のグリコーゲンから放出されます。グルコースはまた、二糖、オリゴ糖、および多糖の生成に必要とされます。
