精製されたラット IgG は、リファレンス抗原、スタンダード、ブロッキング剤またはコーティングタンパク質として、ELISA、ドットイムノバインディング、ウェスタンブロッティング、免疫拡散および免疫電気泳動を含む多様な免疫アッセイに使用可能です。その他の用途には免疫原調製の出発原料や固相免疫吸着剤などがあります。ラット IgG はフローサイトメトリーにおけるアイソタイプコントロールとして使用され、IgG に対する耐性を誘導するためにマウスに注入されます。

Biochem/physiol Actions

IgG抗体には治療薬として非常に大きな可能性があり、その結晶化可能（Fc）領域は治療抗体の開発に貢献しています。

General description

IgG抗体サブタイプは、免疫系に最も豊富にある血清免疫グロブリンです。IgGはB細胞によって分泌され、血液および細胞外液中に認められます。免疫グロブリンは、二本の重（H）鎖および二本の軽（L）鎖がジスルフィド結合で連結されたものです。各軽鎖は、N末端側の1つの可変領域とC末端側の1つの定常領域で構成されています。重鎖は、N末端側の1つの可変領域とC末端側の3～4つの定常領域（CH1～CH4）で構成されています。IgGには、IgG1、IgG2、IgG3、およびIgG4の4つのクラスがあります。IgG抗体は、細菌、真菌およびウイルスが引き起こす感染を防御します。母体IgGは胎盤を通して胎児に移行しますが、これは新生児を感染症から免疫的に防御するのに極めて重要です。ラットIgGは、正常ラットのプール血清から、分画法およびイオン交換クロマトグラフィーにより精製されています。
