カイネチンは、アデニン型サイトカイニン植物ホルモンであり、ムラシゲ・スクーグ培地などの植物培養用培地でオーキシンと共に用いられます。そうしたオーキシンには、インドール-3-酢酸(IAA)、インドール-3-酪酸(IBA)、1-ナフタレン酢酸(NAA)などがあげられ、カルス形成を誘導し、カルスから植物組織を再生します。
Biochem/physiol Actions
Kinetin is a type of cytokinin that is a plant hormone that promotes cell division. It is a growth factor that exerts several anti-aging and antioxidant effects on cells and organs. It is found to protect, effectively, the rat spleen from aging, apoptosis, and atrophy. It can help in inhibiting apoptosis, while promoting the proliferation of splenic lymphocyte, and effectively enhancing the immune power of the aging rats and slow down the aging process. It is also useful for enhancing phytoextraction.
