General description

イーグル最少必須培地（MEM）は、ハリー・イーグルにより開発された合成細胞培養培地です。この培地には高濃度のアミノ酸が含まれるため、培養哺乳類細胞のタンパク質組成とより近似しています。ハンクス′塩またはアール′塩を使用した調製物に非必須アミノ酸を任意補給することで、この培地の使い勝手が向上します。この調製物では、懸濁培養での細胞増殖を可能にするカルシウムを任意除去し、さらに改変されています。MEMは、単層で増殖するさまざまな細胞の培養に使用できます。
