Biochem/physiol Actions

13-cis-レチノイン酸 (RA)は抗炎症作用および抗腫瘍作用を示します。RAの作用は、RAR-βおよびRAR-α受容体を介します。 RAは、サイトカイン刺激したマウスメサンギウム細胞において、iNOS発現および活性を減弱します。膨潤および膜電位の低下として観察されるミトコンドリア膜透過性遷移を誘導し、チトクロムcの遊離を促進することから、アポト-シス経路を介したメカニズムであることが示されます。これらの活性は、EGTAおよびシクロスポリンAによって逆転します。また、RAは転写の増加を介してMMP-1タンパク質発現を部分的に亢進します。
