Biochem/physiol Actions
TNF-α（腫瘍壊死因子α）は、多種多様な腫瘍細胞に対して細胞毒性を示し、細菌感染に対する免疫応答を媒介する必須因子です。しかし、それは、腫瘍抑制因子であると同時に腫瘍プロモーターとしても作用できます。 TNF-αは、敗血症性ショック、自己免疫疾患、関節リウマチ、炎症、アポトーシス、および糖尿病の誘発にも関与しています。 また、気分障害や不安障害にも関連しています。
General description
TNF-α（腫瘍壊死因子α）は、脂肪細胞、活性化単球、マクロファージ、B細胞、T細胞、線維芽細胞など様々な細胞により分泌される多面的炎症性サイトカインです。 TNFファミリーのリガンドに属し、2つの受容体TNFR1とTNFR2を介したシグナルを伝達します。 この遺伝子は、ヒト染色体6p21.3にマッピングされています。 組換えヒトTNF-αは、全長膜貫通タンパク質のC末端細胞外ドメインに対応する可溶性157アミノ酸タンパク質（17.4kDa）です。

Preparation Note
再構成前にバイアルを遠心分離することをお勧めします。ストック溶液は、滅菌水で濃度 0.1 mg/mL に再構成して調製できます。ストック溶液は、培養培地を使用してさらに希釈できます。
