General description
ヒトサイログロブリン（Tg）は660 kDaの二量体タンパク質で、甲状腺で産生され、甲状腺内で完全に使用されます。ヒトのサイログロビンは、甲状腺ホルモンであるサイロキシン（T4）およびトリヨードサイリオニンを産生するために甲状腺で使用されます。橋本甲状腺炎またはグレーブス病の患者は、ヒトのサイログロブリンに対する抗体を頻繁に発症します。血液中のサイログロブリン値は、特定の種類の甲状腺癌の腫瘍マーカーとして、またグレーブス病で使用できます。
Biochem/physiol Actions
サイログロブリンは、ヒト末梢血単核細胞で血小板活性化因子の発現を誘導することが示されており、甲状腺疾患の一部の患者では上昇が見られます。
