Application
テトラメチルベンジジン（TMB）は、西洋ワサビペルオキシダーゼの基質です。可溶性、青色の最終産物を形成し、370 nm又は655 nmに検出されます。TMB反応は0.5 M H2SO4を用いて止めることができ、黄色となり、450 nmに検出されます。ELISA法（マイクロウェル）に推奨され、膜応用には推奨されません。
3,3′,5,5′-テトラメチルベンジジンは吸収極大から外れた基質の吸収値を測定することで、アッセイの特性を損なうことなく、免疫酵素アッセイの測定範囲を大幅に拡大できることを示すための試験に使用されています。3,3′,5,5′-テトラメチルベンジジンは、ペルオキシダーゼ様活性を有するCuSの凹型高次構造の形成を理解するための試験にも使用されています。
