General description

Density and viscosity of mixtures of 1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane and 1-bromododecane has been measured at atmospheric pressure.

Application

1,1,2,2-Tetrabromoethane was used to prepare tribromoethene by dehydrohalogenation using sodium hydroxide in methanol.
