SMC^® Human NF-L High Sensitivity Immunoassay Kit

Used for ultrasensitivite quantification of Human NF-L in human serum, plasma, and CSF.

This assay was tested for cross-reactivity with Neurofilament Medium Chain (NF-M), Neurofilament Heavy Chain (NF-H), phospho-Tau (T181), total Tau, and Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP). No cross-reactivity was detected with these analytes.

Neurofilament Light Chain (NF-L) is a low molecular weight member of a family of proteins involved in axonal development and function. NF-L accumulation is viewed as a telltale sign of axonal damage in the brain, and is a key marker in a wide range of neurodegenerative diseases, especially as a blood-based biomarker.
