General description

Application
1,4-(1,3:1,4)-ฮฒ-D-Glucan 4-glucano-hydrolase, or cellulase, has been used in a study to examine supra-molecular structural features of cellulose during enzymatic hydrolysis using CP/MAS 13C NMR spectra in combination with line-fitting analysis.
Other Notes
One unit will liberate 1.0 ฮผmole of glucose from cellulose in one hour at pH 5.0 at 37 ยฐC (2 hr incubation time).
