Application

Nitric acid can be used as:
  • A catalyst for the aerobic conversion of benzyl ethers to benzaldehydes.
  • An oxidant for the oxidative bromination of activated aromatic compounds using alkali metal bromide salts to synthesize corresponding bromo-derivatives.
