  • Development of self-microemulsifying drug delivery system for oral bioavailability enhancement of berberine hydrochloride.: This study explores the formulation of a self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (SMEDDS) using ethyl linoleate as a key component to improve the oral bioavailability of berberine hydrochloride. The findings indicate a significant increase in bioavailability, demonstrating the potential of SMEDDS in enhancing the absorption of poorly water-soluble drugs (Zhu et al., 2013).

  • Metabonomic investigation of liver profiles of nonpolar metabolites obtained from alcohol-dosed rats and mice using high mass accuracy MSn analysis.: The research includes the use of ethyl linoleate in the study of liver metabolomics to understand the biochemical effects of alcohol dosing. Biochem/physiol Actions

Ethyl linoleate solated from Oxalis triangularis inhibits forskolin-induced melanogenesis and tyrosinase activity in mouse B16 melanoma cells . This anti-melanogenic effect is mediated by inhibiting cAMP production.
Ethyl linoleate may be used as a reference material in assays that quantify fatty acid ethyl esters (FAEEs) for detection of alcohol abuse. Linoleic acid ethyl ester (Ethyl linoleate) may be used and studied as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor.
