General description

Sphingosine (d16:1), also known as hexadecasphingosine or hexadecasphing-4-enine, is a minor sphingoid base with 16 carbon atoms. It is one of the major sphingoid bases found in Musca domestica larvae and adults.

Biochem/physiol Actions
