General description

Cellvento® 4Feed is a chemically defined feed formulation comprising components of non-animal origin. The product is useful for the development and manufacturing of biotherapeutics in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell-based expression systems. Cellvento® 4Feed is a highly concentrated, neutral pH feed that replenishes depleted nutrients required for cellular function. Cellvento® 4Feed COMP is the feed format in compacted dry powder

Application

  • Cellvento® 4Feed has been designed to support optimal cell growth and performance of chinese hamster ovary (CHO) suspension cell types and other CHO cell lines.
  • It has also been used as a companion feed supplement with the production medium Cellvento CHO in fed-batch manufacturing processes.

Features and Benefits

  • It maintains and extends the production phase in fed-batch mode.
  • Cellvento® 4Feed contains cysteine and tyrosine derivatives which release free cysteine and free tyrosine slowly throughout the culture. This is often related to higher cell growth and productivity.
