General description
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a minor membrane phospholipid. This anionic phospholipid contains a polar head group and two long hydrophobic acyl chains. 1 7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl (NBD) PS is a fluorescent probe containing NBD at the headgroup of PS.
Application
18:1-12:0 NBD PS or 1-oleoyl-2-{12-[(7-nitro-2-1,3-benzoxadiazol-4-yl)amino]dodecanoyl}-sn-glycero-3-phosphoserine (ammonium salt) has been used in donor liposomes to determine the phospholipid transfer activity of the synaptic vesicle membrane protein, VAT-1 and phosphatidic acid (PA) transfer by Ups1−Mdm35 system in mitochondria. 18:1-12:0 NBD PS is also suitable for the determination of in vitro phosphatidylserine decarboxylase (Psd1) activity.
Packaging
