General description
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Green Chemistry. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is an eco-friendly, biodegradable polymer widely used in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. Its non-toxic nature and versatility make it a sustainable choice, derived from renewable resources, contributing to greener product formulations. Click here for more information.
Poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) is a crystalline, thermoplastic, water-soluble polymer that is commercially available.
Application
PEO (Mv ~ 1,000,000, powder) can be used in the fabrication of hollow TiO2 fibers, which can be used for a variety of applications such as drug delivery, catalysts, sensors, and electric devices. It can also be used as an electrolyte for the formation of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).

Additive manufacturing technologies based on layer-by-layer deposition of material ejected from a nozzle provide unmatched versatility but are limited in terms of printing speed and resolution. Electrohydrodynamic jetting uniquely allows generating submicrometer jets that can reach speeds above 1 m s-1, but
